Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural learners who thrive academically, to maintain their sense of wonder and curiosity, to cultivate their emotional intelligence, and prepare them to participate as productive citizens in a global society.

To achieve our mission, Premier students have the opportunity to benefit from a unique international educational experience. At Premier, we provide a new model for learning by merging the best of American, Asian, and European educational systems into an integrated whole. Our students are educated in the Asian traditions of respect for the family, culture, and education. The learning experience at Premier fosters the American ideals of democracy, social justice, and innovative thinking.  Finally, PILA students are exposed to the European passion for intellectual thought, sense of community, and a strong work ethic.
Our Philosophy                                                                                                                                                                                                      We believe that children learn and master multiple languages quite effortlessly when provided a positive and nurturing environment to learn. In a safe learning atmosphere and in the hands of expert, caring teachers, our students are developing bilingual skills and emotional intelligence. Through a rich, international curricula combined with creative teaching methods, we aspire to teach a generation of life-long learners who know how to channel their learning into reflection and critical thinking: the keys to creativity and problem-solving. The Premier school culture promotes the understanding that we live in an inter-connected world that requires a systems thinking approach to life and work. PILA students will be the leaders of tomorrow who understand that language is a powerful tool that can be utilized to bridge cultural barriers and foster understanding between people.
Our Methodology
The high standards we set at Premier are achieved through utilizing research-based teaching methods and best practices in the field of education. The curricula are rooted in the research of experts and scholars, and the best practices of practitioners from across the disciplines: language acquisition, immersion and bilingual education, cognitive psychology, early literacy, and math/science pedagogy. We emphasize multi-sensory learning, a natural, communicative approach, and differentiating instruction in order to meet the unique needs of each child. Our collaborative teaching style fosters successful learning experiences for all children.
